We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, and effective team player to join our growing team. The candidate will be confident in resolving ad hoc employment law/HR queries as and when required. Experience is not essential as training will be provided.

As an Employment Law Advisor, you will:
– Provide clients with timely comprehensive advice on all employee relation matters, verbally and in writing.
– Advising on all areas of employment law such as family friendly entitlements, Working Time Regulations 1998, unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, TUPE etc.
– Effectively manage cases of people related issues such as: disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management, redundancy, recruitment, long term sickness, dismissals.
– Generate HR letters and advise on procedures to clients based on their queries.
– Support colleagues on complex disciplinary/grievance hearings, draft letters, take minutes and undertake hearings where appropriate.
– Compile Terms and Conditions of Employment and supporting policies.
– Supporting the Employment Law/Human Resources, Sales and Health and Safety Department with administrative tasks.
– Develop effective relationships with our clients to promote good employee relations across the organisation.
– Plan and deliver training when required.
– Compile legal updates on subject matters to send to our client base.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and application of Employment Law practices, where they will be tasked with providing advice in a format our clients will understand. Communication is a vital aspect of the role, and the desire to communicate effectively with people at all levels whether verbally and written will be essential.
With a client/respondent focus, the opportunity will suit an individual who has a strong commercial acumen where they understand and learn about each business, they work with to provide them with the best possible service. In addition, they will be able to demonstrate strong IT skills with experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
A minimum qualification of a CILEx Level 3, Law Degree, LPC, (or equivalents) are preferred, with an Employment Law module being a necessity.
A full and clean driving licence and their own vehicle is preferred but not essential.
Due to the type of work undertaken and the complexities, the role is office based.
